The actor was taken to the Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota on Friday suffering from injuries to his head and nose, medical staff said.
A hospital spokeswoman said: He was brought in for observation. He had a laceration of the head and a nasal injury. He has since been discharged.
Jones a Hollywood tough guy was injured when a fight broke out in Wileys Tavern late on Thursday night, the Sioux Falls ArgusLeader reported.
Juan Barrera told the newspaper that the actor tried to join him and his friends in a pool game but got angry when one of the men asked about his role in X-Men 3 (he played a supervillian known as the Juggernaut).
He said: He got offended by that, and he started pushing my other friends around. He said hes been in so many other movies or whatever.
Mr Barrera told the newspaper that one of the men smashed Jones in the face with a beer glass in self-defense.
A senior police officer at Minnehaha County Jail said he could not confirm reports that Jones and the other man involved in the fight had both been arrested. Word though is Jones was arrested and booked for misdemeanor simple assault and was released on bail on Friday morning. While the other man in the Thursday night fight faces felony aggravated assault charges.

Adam Sandler is a big daddy again!
The comedian, 42, and his wife Jackie, 34, have welcomed their second child, he announced on Tuesday.
"Jackie and Adam had a beautiful baby girl, Sunny Madeline on November 2," Sandler posted on his Web site. "Everyone is happy and healthy."

Sandler joked that his wife had been suffering "all day" from morning sickness during his appearance on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno in May.
"In the beginning, I would rub her back and go, 'It's worth it. We're going to have another beautiful baby, I love you, thanks for doing this,'" he said.
Their daughter Sadie is 2.

When Todd Sklar named his indie film roadshow venture Range Life, the Pavement reference wasnt coincidental. The same kind of imbalance cited by Malkmus in the middle of the so-called alternative revolution has arguably gone on to infect the indie film world: the movies which least need the film festival as a platform benefit from it the most, but the little guys continue to play along (if theyre even invited to!) because its the only game in town. You could say that Sklars Range Life, which is shepherding four truly independent films to 20+ cities in North America, is an attempt to shake up that models monopoly. But for Sklar, the Pavement reference goes deeper.
The other thing that really struck a chord is that sarcastic chorus, talking about settling down, Sklar said this week in an email interview. That really connected with hopping in a van and taking the film on the road rather than having it showcased to the same crowd every month while we get free cheese and crackers and fruit leather in the filmmaker lounge. Dont get me wrong, I do LOVE filmmaker lounges (and fruit leather in specific), but I truly think, and more-so now than ever, filmmakers shouldnt be settling down when theyve finished their film. That should be when youre most excited and most involved in the work.

My dad brought me home a bunch of used Aerosmith CDs from the batch he's supposed to put on jukeboxes. I'm putting their greatest hits CD on my iTunes right now. I think it's their first greatest hits ever ... all the songs are from the 70s, which is awesome. So I am getting the original version of "Dream On," which I couldn't find at the iTunes store. And I get "Sweet Emotion" and the original version of "Walk This Way," which also wasn't on iTunes, and "Back In The Saddle" and "Same Old Song And Dance." Fun stuff that I didn't have to buy with my scanty iTunes money. Steven Tyler's voice has changed a lot, I've just decided while listening to "Dream On."
I made a random list yesterday. I went through all the country songs on my iTunes library and wrote down the 12 most country titles ... if you know what I mean. Here's what I got.

My mom told me today that she and my dad are only spending $250 on me for Christmas this year. It's because they've had to spend a lot of money this year ... on the new heating system for our house and they bought a car. So I have a lot of planning to do for my Christmas list. I guess I should ask for a lot of little things and not for Rock Band or a Nintendo DS. Damn.

I went ahead and straightened my hair back out. It was nice and curly for my hobbit costume, and I wanted to keep it curly for a little while longer ... but sleeping on it last night didn't do it any favors. It looked pretty much crappy this morning. Haha. So I straightened it. It's still got spray and gel in it, so it's a little different than usual, but it looks a lot better than it did when I woke up, haha.
I'm in a Peter Petrelli/Sylar/Heroes mood right now. And they're not even going to show me a new episode day after tomorrow.

I congratulate President-elect Obama on his historic victory, and now its time to begin unifying the country so we can take on the extraordinary challenges that this generation faces, George Clooney told Entertainment Tonight.

On Wednesday mornings The View, Elizabeth Hasselbeck - one of McCains most visible and vocal supporters - acknowledge the extraordinary election.

Oprah Winfrey, who has supported Obama since early in the primary, was at Grant Park in Chicago to witness the president-elects acceptance speech.
It feels like hope won, she told Britains BBC News. It feels like theres a shift in consciousness. It feels like something really big and bold has happened here, like nothing ever in our lifetimes did we expect this to happen. She said no longer will there be just red states and blue states, and that the color purple rules.

The new collection from Superfine is awesome! I love the grunge rocker look with the necklines of the pieces. I could see myself wearing every piece in the collection and loving it. I think the coolest piece in the collection are the black pants. Im sort of on the fence as to whether I really want that trend to start or not. Im tall so they could look good, but Im pretty skinny too and baggy jeans just dont look right for some reason. What do you think indies? Will you be jumping into some flared jeans soon?
